Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts

A resurgent Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.

Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a challenging season, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.

Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him dropping out of the top ten and finally splitting with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.

Presently working with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Moutet.

This represents his maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since March of the previous year.

The win also means he has achieved 21 titles at 21 various events.

"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is particularly special," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This title is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."

The athlete, the past champion, had lost his past six title deciders, featuring in that event earlier this year.

The player's defensive strategy and regular reactions on court had prompted some to question if his skill to perform at the elite level was finished.

Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play assertively, reinforced by an enhanced service.

Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, taking four of the concluding five points to take the lead.

Both players exchanged breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial ATP Tour championship, took control to push for a decider.

He defended four early-game opportunities in a tight third set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to close out the victory.

Appropriately, Medvedev clinched the win with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
